Machines

Entering a Machine

A machine entry is constituted by:

  • Its HDLC address – This is the communication address used by the system to know which machine it is interacting with, and can be from 01-99.
  • The machines’ Ref# – This is the game serial number that the anchine is commonly known by.
  • The Game Name – The title of the game.

In order to add a new machine to the list, these three details must be entered, and then the “Add Item” button to be pressed. Once created you can now adjust the machine’s details, if required, by tapping the ‘Gear’ icon for the machine entry.

Machine Details

  • Mac Address – If you are using Player Cards with TruePoint, then this is how you associate a Card Reader with a particular machine. Each Card Reader that is connected to the network will announce themselves to the system, and will populate in this selector. Inside the dropdown you can press the Circle icon to make the Card Reader display make a visible pattern in order to allow you to identify.
  • Game Name – Just the name of the machine that is used for easy identification.
  • HDLC Address – Once a machine is installed this virtually never needs to be adjusted. This is the identifier used internally.
  • Multiplier – Do not adjust after installation. This assigns dollar value-per-response from the machine to the POS.
  • PINs Remain – This is an internal mechanism and not meant to be adjustable.
  • Activation Model – This is an internal mechanism and not meant to be adjustable
  • Protocol – Do not adjust after installation. TruePoint supports connecting to a variety of manufacturers’ machines, and some have their own native interfaces.

Redemption

Destinations

Each possible redemption destination desired to be specified is defined here. If you enter text into the upper left ‘Redemption Type’ field, and press ‘Add Item’, then you will have created a new destination.

All destinations can be sorted as desired by pressing and holding the blue button on each line, and then dragging up or down to the intended position. Keep in mind that the top-most destination is the default field that a session’s value will be assigned to. We recommend having the top as either Hold or Account, as it is the simplest method of undoing a cashier’s mistaken entries.

Holds

Below the destination list is where Holds are configured. The ‘Eye’ icon toggles weather holds are left visible on the home screen. If this is off, then Holds will only be visible in the transaction history view.

The button to the far right defnes if holds are available to a cashier at all. If holds are active, then you define the amount of days before expiry.

Each location has their own standards as to what constitutes an ‘abandoned session’. For some, all sessions must be claimed by the end of day, and some within 24 hours. This timer defines how long a customer has to redeem a session before it is forfeit.

Each location can define how much they want people’s information to be logged to their system when Players Cards are used. If the location wants the cashier to always be prompted to complete player info AND the location wants cards to be registered before usage, then this should be set to On.

This is specific to machines manufactured by Primero Games for the Georgia market. Each player in Georgia can only redeem up to $5.00 per action taken on a machine. This tool allows players to track how many actions they have done on a Players card. If they player is in a scenario where they enter $5.00 into a machine, make 1 big play, and win $100.00, then if they have a players card with 19 HandCount available on it, they can use all their headcounts immediately.

Handcount values are specific to each location.

Receipt

The information that is printed on the receipt is originally sourced from the location’s entry on the TrueRoute portal. If any changes or removal of lines is desired, then the text can be edited here.
